Current Event- New Robot
Sylvain Calinon and some of his fellow workers at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology have designed a software that lets the workers there to teach the robot to do tasks, like picking a book up. Workers use a motion sensors that record the upper body movement and then guiding the robot’s limbs to do the motion. You can watch the staff of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology teach the robot basic movements, such as picking up a dice, at http://www.calinon.ch/videos.php. This 60cm tall and 8.8kg robot called HOAP-3 is made by a Japanese company called Fujitsu. Even though they haven’t exactly decided what the price HOAP-3 is, Fujitsu Automation announced on the 5th of December that they will begin accepting orders for this talented robot. HOAP-3 has improved it’s movement capabilities, external recognition and communication functionality from its older editions. A camera, microphone, speaker, expression LED, audio recognition function, voice synthesis function, and image recognition function have also been added so scientists can use brilliant robot for studies such as hand-eye coordination and human communication. Sylvain Calinon hopes that HOAP-3 will allow consumers to teach domestic robots to simple chores around the house. Having HOAP-3 will make your life easier and will have your mom stop bugging you to clean up your room!!! I think that HOAP-3 is great because it will help Scientists with their reasearch and also it can also get Moms everywhere to stop bugging there kids to clean their room if there is HOAP-3 to do all the work!!!!

I can't really decide what my favorite tv show is. I usually just watch whats coming on.
My fav. meal is cheese pizza because it makes a good snack and it's tasty.
My fav. non-school activity is probably swimming.
Someone i look up to is my mom because she is smart and understanding.
My goal for the future is... i don't really know but i wanna be a lawyer or astronaut.
In the first hour after school i am usually watching tv.
